A delegation led by Speaker of the House of Federation of #Ethiopia H.E. Agegnehu Teshager is participating in the 146th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) in Manama, Bahrain. The Assembly is being held from 11-15 March 2023, hosted by the Parliament of Bahrain.
Mr. Agegnehu explained to the audience the steps taken by the government to ensure lasting peace in the country by establishing the All Inclusive National Dialogue Commission and bring an end to the conflict in northern Ethiopia through the Pretoria Peace Agreement.
Additionally, he discussed al-Shabab and the fight against terrorism in the region, as well as Ethiopia’s Green Legacy Initiative, efforts to increase women’s participation in parliament, and Ethiopia’s Green Legacy Initiative.
