H.E. Mr. Demeke Mekonnen Deputy Prime Minister & Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia met today with H.E. Ambassador Enrique Mora, Deputy Secretary General of the European External Action Service, to discuss a wide range of bilateral & multilateral issues of mutual importance For his part, Ambassador Enrique Mora welcomed Ethiopia’s efforts to implement the Peace Agreement; including signing the CoH, providing unrestricted access to humanitarian supplies, and addressing accountability through a transitional justice mechanism. He stated that peace in Ethiopia is necessary for peace in the Horn of Africa.
Finally, Ambassador Enrique said that the European Union is keen on enhancing relations with Ethiopia.
